Calendula is known for its healing properties. For kids, its great for diaper rash, cradle cap, rashes, eczema and skin wounds (avoiding open cuts).
For best results, apply several times per day. ONLY for external use.
Why is it Important to use Natural Products on the Skin?
Skin products are not well regulated for their safety. Unfortunately, many products on the market contain carcinogenic (cancer causing) ingredients. Our skin is not an effective barrier against these compounds since most are fat soluble and absorb right through skin.
Many companies make misleading claims on their labels. They claim their products are "organic" or "natural" although they may only contain one natural ingredient. Always read the ingredient list.

Just like protein and carbohydrates, fats are essential for health. Essential fatty acids are important for the healthy development of the membranes around our cells important for supporting good health. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is a type of omega-3 essential fatty acid found in fish oil.
DHA is particularly important for brain, nervous system and eye (particularly retinal) development. Adequate levels are essential during pregnancy and breastfeeding to support proper development. Supplementation during pregnancy can also reduce the incidence of allergies and eczema in children.
In children, a deficiency of essential fatty acids can present in many ways such as skin problems and behavioral problems.
